FAQ

Our experts provide answers to commonly asked questions about the use of additive technologies by startups.

Is 3D printing cheaper than injection molding?
3D printing is cheaper than injection molding, but only up to a certain quantity of units. Injection molding requires a significant initial investment, so for shorter production runs, the final cost per unit is high. With 3D printing, there are no initial setup costs.
I need 100 enclosures to test my product with initial customers. What do I need to start production, and how long will it take?
To begin production, we only need a 3D model in STL or STP format. Producing 100 enclosures with sample dimensions of 50 x 40 x 30 mm should take approximately 5-7 working days.
Does the lead time of 3 or 5 working days apply to any quantity of units?
No, but the vast majority of our orders are processed within 5 working days. The exact lead time depends on the dimensions, volume of parts, and the current workload of our machines.
