3D design and scanning

What does the design process look like?

Consultations

We gather product assumptions, needs, and functions. Online consultations are an option, but we recommend onsite meetings at our machinery park to maximize effectiveness and showcase the production process.

Design and prototyping

With our expertise in 3D modelling, we leverage the capabilities of MJF technology to rapidly create and deliver new iterations of prototypes, significantly expediting the process. Our design process utilizes industry-leading software developed by Autodesk, including Inventor and Fusion 360.

Production

Once the prototype has been approved, we can directly start production using the same 3D technology. In the case of any concept changes, subsequent series can be freely changed at no additional costs, which would be impossible with injection moulding technology.

How much does it cost to have a part scanned in 3D?

The minimum cost of the 3D scanning service is PLN 600 net, and the final price depends on the level of geometric complexity of the part.

A part in my dishwasher has been broken. Can you scan and print it?

We very rarely take such orders. The minimum cost of the scanning service is 600 PLN, and the minimum cost of printing is 150 PLN. This determines the profitability of such projects.

In what format do we receive 3D model files after scanning?

The result of the scan itself is a triangle mesh, i.e., a model in STL format. If we want to get a parametric model — e.g., STP — we must also do reverse engineering with the aid of special software.

How accurate is 3D scanning?

For small details (up to 100 mm), the scanning accuracy is 0.1 mm. For larger details, it is usually 0.2-0.3 mm.
