Challeange

Our client required about 600 custom-designed housings to mount parking sensors on car bumpers. These housings needed to be designed from scratch, ensuring a perfect fit within the bumper’s recess.

Solution

Based on the sensor’s geometry, we designed a housing that enabled quick and easy installation of the sensor onto the bumper. The housings were produced using HP Multi Jet Fusion technology, then smoothed through vibratory finishing, and finally, immersed in black dye for coloring.

After testing the parts and comparing prices and lead times with other technologies, the client swiftly decided to transition to regular just-in-time part orders—precise quantities delivered in accordance with the current demand.
