Under Ant are Polish experts in the design and creation of specialized unmanned vehicles and technological solutions related to them. The company’s portfolio includes both advanced task drones and software perfectly suited to them.
We appreciate the efficient, instant and detailed quotation and further implementation. And when it comes to technical issues themselves – finishes in the form of chemical treatment with black dyeing and mirror-coated surfaces work perfectly for us. An additional plus is also for the presentation models – they showed us the potential of the technology very well.

Challenge
As a company offering technological solutions tailored to specific customer needs, Under Ant often needs unconventional solutions, and projects often undergo changes and require production flexibility – both in terms of order volumes and design changes.
Moreover, printed parts must be of excellent quality, often require a certain level of tightness, and frequently have quite complex geometries.
The ability to create fully functional prototypes was crucial for the team.
Like many similar companies, the company used FDM 3D printers for basic prototypes, but they did not meet these requirements.
As Under Ant’s constructor, Maciej Piekarniak, recalls:
“We used FDM, but the results were far from ideal. We had to work more on the designs before printing, and the final effect is never satisfactory.”
So the Under Ant team was looking for a new partner who could help with this element of the process. As it turned out, several people in the company had the opportunity to work with us a few years earlier and naturally we were asked for help again.
Solution
The need was clear. The Under Ant R&D team needed parts to be delivered quickly and with the simplest process possible. The key conditions were quality, aesthetics and flexibility in deliveries. The client needed different types of parts in different volumes – depending on the needs of the R&D or sales team.
It is safe to say that the HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology was created for such projects. Our standard process therefore completely responded to all the client’s needs.
This is how Maciej Piekarniak sums up the cooperation:
“Powder-printed parts look much better and the whole process looks incomparably simpler. We can order even small elements at a very good price, which significantly speeds up our process.”
Benefits
Almost immediately, it became clear to our client that the MJF technology would be permanently implemented in the prototyping and target production processes.
Here’s how our service fits into Under Ant’s current processes:
Quick lead time
The process of bringing innovative designs to market is significantly improved thanks to rapid production and the ability to use functional prototypes.
Full freedom in orders and projects
Producing high-quality parts at MJF is cost-effective from a single piece, which perfectly suits the needs of a specialist company like Under Ant.
Excellent quality
The created parts met all the customer's stringent requirements in terms of strength and aesthetics.
Przyspieszenie procesu produkcji
Szybkie dostawy w czasie 3-5 dni roboczych zmniejszyły przestoje w produkcji i pozwoliły na sprawniejszą realizację zamówień.
