IS Solutions is a company that creates software and designs specialized electronic devices. The production of these devices is then outsourced to companies like ours. 

The client approached us with the design of his flagship product – IC Pen, a system for digitizing data and signatures using digital pens.

The IC Solution team was looking for a company that would be able to make housings for IC Pen devices (pen and charging station).

The client had previously used a different technology (Vacuum Casting), but it turned out to be unsuccessful, not precise enough, time-consuming, and expensive. Additionally, IC Solutions wanted a solution that would enable easy ordering of enclosures in the just-in-time model and constantly changing volumes. The final key criterion was the ability to change the design between series as the product continued to evolve and adapt to customer expectations. 


Thanks to the use of HP Multi Jet Fusion technology and experience in similar projects, we prepared a comprehensive service and responded to all the mentioned needs.

The Cubic Inch design team played a key role, thoroughly familiarizing themselves with the product and the customer’s needs. All changes were thoroughly analyzed internally, and the client’s team received highly refined projects, which significantly relieved the workload of IC Solution specialists. 

HP MJF technology turned out to be an excellent solution for such a specialized device and, thanks to the changes in the design, it allowed for a much lower cost of printed elements.


Design support and a good understanding of the client’s needs allowed us to move the project forward much faster process, and the technology used opened up new sales and investment opportunities for the company.
